Here we started to design a magazine(only for practice) as you can see we have edited the contrast and brightness. Also we have put the writing on top of the picture. The blue boxes represnet where text would be, also we have added a little puff which has writing inside, and we done the puff to make it stamd out and so people would read it!

Heres the same picture but ive been messing around with it, i used the liquify to change all the background so it was all squiggly, also used a filter, i think it was posterize and edited the contrast and brightness

The centre image is the image i edited on photoshop as you can see i used cloning and dodging also bluring and smudge to make the edges smoother, we done this with mr wilson. But today we were told how to put words/ text onto the front cover. We went on a certain website to create different fonts with different writing e.g. do kids always get what they want? then we print screned the writing, pasted it onto a new layer, cut out the bit that we wanted, deleted the bit we didnt want then pasted it again. then if we wanted to put the writing ontop of the girl we would put the layer on the top(this is where the section for layers are), if we wanted it behind we would put it below the girl, thats how i made the writing go behind(adverage kid), then we carried on adding different text.

Today we have been using photoshop to edit some of the photos we have been taking of people/ourselfs. I edited a picture of a young girl(10). I rubbed out the background by, inserting a new layer, then rubbing it out and inserted a plain background tht i took off google. Then i used the dodge tool to make her teeth look white. Also i used the cloning tool to get rid of some moles and spots she had on her face. I done this by cloning a piece of skin near the area i wanted to get rid of and placing that cloned piece ontop of mole/spot, so her face looked absolutely perfect and no moles/spots and perfectly white teeth!

The audience for this magazine seems to be for women aged between 18-35, it seems quite formal and for women who are earning a good salary. Its for women who are more fashionable,  also its for much more classy women, because of the colours used and not loads of gossip like closer or ok. I no that its for that kind of audience because of the way the magazine cover is set out, classy, non gossipy, certain colours, and i dont think people under the age of 18 wold find it very interesting, it doesnt really stand out, compared to 'HEAT' because heat has a very big bright red logo ontop of a white background. Also people under 18 and over 35 doesnt seem like the kind of people who would be interested in what keira knightly would be wearing becaus its either too expensive or it wouldnt suit a women over the age of 35! 

We have been learning different things in media: denotation is a word which we have learnt which means what a person is wearing, make up, uniform, it basically tells us what kind of person they are, rich or poor.
Connotation means the surroundings and what kind of place there in whether it being a school or an office, also red nail varnish has connotations of being powerful.
Serif font is the font which is used maybe formally or seems more traditional and old fashioned a good example of this is the font used for 'the independent', whereas sans serif is much more modern, more bold, informal and seems to be for a younger generation e.g. The sun which is a big bold title, white on red, which stands out alot.

Watching daredevil at the moment. Amazing film, also was watching Manchester united playing benfica, pretty awesome goal from giggs :)

Today in media we looked at magazines and how there compared to others, we used the correct terminology for this which is conventions(things that are the same) and codes(things that are different) We were given two different magazines, look and glamour and we had to write down all the questions about both magazines, then answered what were the conventions and what were the codes. from our observations we found that both of the magazines main pictures both overlaped the title, both the titles were big and bold, also both had loads of subtitles and were very eye-catching, some of the codes were that glamour was more classy and the main picture looked like it had been taken by a professional photographer, whereas look had photos which looked like paparazzi had taken them. Also look has a lot more gossip and less classy, also has a range of colours whereas glamour was much more colour coded. I would probrably read look more because theres more gossip and more interesting things to read!
