Final Video
Here is the final edit of our short film 'Don't Judge A Boy By His Glasses' I'm quite happy with the final product i think it's good quality and at quite a high standard. There are some small mistakes here and there, but it's nothing thats very noticeable. I have got quote a lot of positive feedback from family and friends which I'm very happy about.
The sound isn't perfect in some of the scenes, but unless your listening for it you won't here it. We had to make sure the final scene was completely different to the rest of the film because we wanted to show the change between when he's being bullied and when he isn't anymore, we wanted it to be cheery and happy and we managed to get this through the music we used and the lighting.
Converting the bully scenes to black and white was i think the best thing we did because people understood what was the present and what was the past/ thoughts he had about going to school, he didn't know what was going to happen, through doing this it showed the emotions he was feeling and I think it gave a very intended but very subtle symbolic meaning

Film Edit 3
Here is our third film edit, there are still a lot of things we need to change which are obvious in our film. But in this edit we managed to edit in the sad music we were going to use. So here's the problems we need change in our next video:
- Edit the hit scene and make sure the action shots match up
- Make every bully scene into black and white
- Make the Locker scene quieter so the music is louder the the voice
- Also make the locker scene shorter so its the same sort of length as the other bully scenes
- Make the bedroom scene louder, so its the same loudness as the rest of the scenes
Final Review Page
I'm quite happy with my final review page because it has everything that should be on a review page and more and its also very bold and bright and quite eye catching i think!
Review Page Draft
Review Page Draft 4
Here is my review page which i has been completed fully with all the text and extra information boxes here and there, I decided to include a lot of information about the film because I want people to understand what the film is actually about and how children feel about themselves when there being bullied.
Review Page Draft 3
I used the idea from the spider man review page by adding a graph at the bottom, but instead of there graph being about how many people watched spiderman, mine is about where bullying happens most, and this is shown in our video where bullying happens most often. I also added more text and I am close to completing.
Review Page Draft 2
Heres my Review page in process, where I have added more text since the last post and also the title and some extra information

Review Page In progress
The review page I was planning on doing I tried, but when I cut my photos out on photoshop they didnt look professional, they looked a bit dull and made the review page look like it was designed by a much younger person. So I decided to make it look a bit older and more professional by using a photo that hadnt been cut out and also including more text on the review itself.
So I'm half way through creating my final review page and so far I think it looks quite good and i think that it is hitting the professional mark. I got my idea's from the review page called 'New Films', Where I understood where to put my text and what sort of things to write, I also used the same sort of colours because there prime colours that can appeal to everyone and I thought these sort of colours realted to school, like the blue dresses, red jumpers, blue jumpers etc.

Final Film Poster
Heres my final film poster idea, I decided to add the universal sticker because this is featured on most film posters. I'm happy with this film poster because it has everything that needs to be on it and more, I decided to use this photo because it made Dudley looks quite and simple and nerdy in some way.
Film poster 3rd Draft
Here I changed the background because i thought the two plain colours looked a bit boring, so i decided to add stripes, so i think it looks a bit more interesting now. I also added some text saying the director, producer, music and director of photography because the poster looked a bit plain, so i needed to add something else to it
Film Poster 2nd Draft
Heres the 2nd draft of my film poster using my own photo, I chose to make the photo posterized because I thought it made it look more interesting, just a plain photo of him looked too boring.

Film Poster; First Draft
Here is the first draft of my film poster, at the moment I am using a picture of a boy off the internet because we have not yet taken our photoshoot, so I am using this one for now so people can see what its going to look like. I chose to use this kind of font because its bold and its the same kind of font as one used on the white board when having an eye test and eye tests are the main reason how people have to have glasses and thats the name of our title. I chose to use yellow and blue because they go together well and I want the font and picture of the boy to stand out from the background, so i don't want to bold a colour. The other colour I was going to use was green because it represents healthiness, grass- green open space to roam around in and get active, so i thought this was a positive colour to use on my poster, but i tried it with the yellow I'm using and it doesn't really go with the font or picture, but possibly when I use my own pictures it might go better, but for now blue looks good because its a calm colour and doesn't stand out too much.
Our Second Edit
We were unable to put our first edit of our film on because it wouldn't work, but here is our second edit, we had only changed a few things from our first edit, so it isn't much different.
There is still a lot of readjustments to make, adding parts in and taking bits out. Some of the parts of the film are hard to understand, so we are either going to take it out, change it or possibly do a bit more filming and add that it just so people will understand whats going on.

My Film Article
Here is my idea for my Film Article layout...
I'm going to the keep style of writing the same and use a similar picture of the boy to the one on the front, with some extra added bits such as the bag and school books. I am going to have a persons opinion of the film on the bottom right of the page. Also Im adding a little box near the boys legs with the director, writer, producer, stars, runtime and film classification, so people know what kind of film it is and in the larger boxes there will be the text about the film

Some Ideas for Film Posters
Here are some basic film posters I came up with, this is the kind of poster design, quite simple and eye catching, because the researched I found showed that the the simpler they were the better they were. Less means more.
Poster Photoshoot
I needed photos for my Poster so i got Daniel to stand in front a white wall, made him look like a nerd then took some photos of him, getting him to do some different poses.
Film Article Research
Here are a few Film Articles I have been looking at...
I really like the layout of this film article, this is the how I would like to layout mine out. They use a certain amount of colours and I like how they have added peoples opinions of the film, quotes and also reviews, this is something I will be adding to mine.
I also found this article, but I'm not too keen on this layout, I find its quite boring. I want to create a film article that stands out and makes you want to read it!
This is another film article I found, I prefer this layout to the one above, as it looks more interesting, bold and more professional to the one above
Overall the 'Castles In The Sky' Film article is what Im hoping my Film Article will look like, I love the layout and the colour scheme he or she has used and this is how I want mine to look like

Film Poster Research
I have decided to create a film poster that is quite simple, but very bold and eye catching, these are a few film posters that has caught my attention.
I like this film poster because the boy looks really innocent, and this is what I want to achieve with my film poster, I want the boy to look innocent and sad, so the audience think the film will be about a boy getting bullied, but theres a twist and this doesn't happen.
I also like this film poster because its in the style of eye test writing and our title is 'Don't judge a boy by his glasses' and I think it would be interesting if i had this style of writing on my film poster as the title.

Rough Storyboard
Here was our first draft of a storyboard which we created before the half term. It just gives you the basic idea of our story and the key things we wanted to put in it. We have created a more detailed storyboard since then, including the shot types and what sounds.
