Film Poster; First Draft

Here is the first draft of my film poster, at the moment I am using a picture of a boy off the internet because we have not yet taken our photoshoot, so I am using this one for now so people can see what its going to look like. I chose to use this kind of font because its bold and its the same kind of font as one used on the white board when having an eye test and eye tests are the main reason how people have to have glasses and thats the name of our title. I chose to use yellow and blue because they go together well and I want the font and picture of the boy to stand out from the background, so i don't want to bold a colour. The other colour I was going to use was green because it represents healthiness, grass- green open space to roam around in and get active, so i thought this was a positive colour to use on my poster, but i tried it with the yellow I'm using and it doesn't really go with the font or picture, but possibly when I use my own pictures it might go better, but for now blue looks good because its a calm colour and doesn't stand out too much.

Our Second Edit

We were unable to put our first edit of our film on because it wouldn't work, but here is our second edit, we had only changed a few things from our first edit, so it isn't much different.
There is still a lot of readjustments to make, adding parts in and taking bits out. Some of the parts of the film are hard to understand, so we are either going to take it out, change it or possibly do a bit more filming and add that it just so people will understand whats going on.

My Film Article

Here is my idea for my Film Article layout...
I'm going to the keep style of writing the same and use a similar picture of the boy to the one on the front, with some extra added bits such as the bag and school books. I am going to have a persons opinion of the film on the bottom right of the page. Also Im adding a little box near the boys legs with the director, writer, producer, stars, runtime and film classification, so people know what kind of film it is and in the larger boxes there will be the text about the film

My Film Poster Idea...

I' ve been researching Film Poster's recently and I have a basic Idea of what I want my film poster to look like. Using ideas from some of the posters I have researched. Heres my drawing of what i want my film poster to look like...

Some Ideas for Film Posters

Here are some basic film posters I came up with, this is the kind of poster design, quite simple and eye catching, because the researched I found showed that the the simpler they were the better they were. Less means more.

Poster Photoshoot

I needed photos for my Poster so i got Daniel to stand in front a white wall, made him look like a nerd then took some photos of him, getting him to do some different poses.

Film Article Research

Here are a few Film Articles I have been looking at...

I really like the layout of this film article, this is the how I would like to layout mine out. They use a certain amount of colours and I like how they have added peoples opinions of the film, quotes and also reviews, this is something I will be adding to mine.

I also found this article, but I'm not too keen on this layout, I find its quite boring. I want to create a film article that stands out and makes you want to read it!

This is another film article I found, I prefer this layout to the one above, as it looks more interesting, bold and more professional to the one above

Overall the 'Castles In The Sky' Film article is what Im hoping my Film Article will look like, I love the layout and the colour scheme he or she has used and this is how I want mine to look like

Film Poster Research

I have decided to create a film poster that is quite simple, but very bold and eye catching, these are a few film posters that has caught my attention.

I like this film poster because the boy looks really innocent, and this is what I want to achieve with my film poster, I want the boy to look innocent and sad, so the audience think the film will be about a boy getting bullied, but theres a twist and this doesn't happen.

I also like this film poster because its in the style of eye test writing and our title is 'Don't judge a boy by his glasses' and I think it would be interesting if i had this style of writing on my film poster as the title.

Rough Storyboard

Here was our first draft of a storyboard which we created before the half term. It just gives you the basic idea of our story and the key things we wanted to put in it. We have created a more detailed storyboard since then, including the shot types and what sounds.
