Preliminary Task

For planning my preliminary task me and my group first had to plan and draw out a storyboard of our idea adding in the camera angle/shot/movement by the side and also if we wanted to add in speech so our group and others would get the basic idea of what the actors/actresses are going to say. I was the one in charge of drawing the storyboard as I'm very creative and was able to show what the actors/actresses were going to do without having to draw stick people which makes it harder to understand
After we had completed our storyboard we started writting the script for each actor which wasnt to hard because the ideas just popped into our heads and we just wrote them down. Katie was the main writter for the script but we just gave her some ideas. The script isnt very long because our preliminary task only has to be short, so we didnt need a long script.
After this we had to find the actors/actresses, location and when we were going to film. Set up the camera, get all the correct equipment such as the boom and tripod and also the video camera obviously. The place where we are going to film is in the lower school corridor of the school and also in the languages office.

Demo and Preliminary Task

Me and my group have been working on a filming project. So far we have each been using a school video camera to film 5 seconds of each media shot such as close up, medium, long shot etc. Also filming the camera movements such as tracking and also the camera angles such as low and high. We then put the film on to Premier Pro edited how long each clip was and then inserted the name of the camera shot/angle/moevment at the top of each clip. We are now working on our preliminary task where we have to film a person walking into room and sitting down, but we can choose what we want to do for it. Our idea is too have two men, a detective and a policemen walking into an interegation room sitting down infront of a young girl and then talking to her to ask her where she was on the scene of the crime. It seems very simple at the moment, but when we film it using the angles/shots and movements that we will use will make it look much more interesting and we have already written a script for our actors to say so we just need to find out when me and my group are going to film and where we are going to film it, but our idea so far is to film in school using one of the lower school coridors and one of the rooms which lie there. We had this idea because its like the kind of place that would be in a police station, but were not quite sure what decade to base it in yet!
