Here are some rather negative ending short films about bullying, they are both very effective and there message is to get people to understand how bully can effect a person. It shows it can cause a person to commit suicide or cause depression in later life

How to Make a short Film?

What you need to make a short Film:

• Descent video camera
• Tripod
• Computer/ Laptop with the correct editing software
• DV Tape
• Sound Kit
• Actors/actresses
• The Location

Steps to making a Short Film:

1. Here is the thing; anyone can record and image, but that is not making a film
2. Learn the following features of your camera
   • focus ring
   • white balance
   • iris.
3. Narrative, or Documentary? Download a free script writing program. A good one is called Celtx.
• If you are going to make a fiction film, Narrative. Think of a basic story idea. You can get a lot of ideas for films from things you read in daily life, short stories, newspapers, etc
4. Outline your idea. Write out your script, using Celtx; if you have never written a script before pick up a book that explains script writing and character development, and that along with the Celtx program will be all you will need.
5. Write out your script
6. Consider the following points in writing your script
   • Character development
   • Plot development
   • Inciting incident
   • Character arch
7. Story-board each shot in the film. Decide what each shot in the movie is going to be. For example, wide shot, over the shoulder, tracking shot, close up, extreme close up, medium wide shot. crane shot, dolly shot, etc.
8. Decide what you need for each scene. This is called a breakdown sheet.
9. Determine the setting of the scene. Is it external(EXT) or internal(INT)?
10. Determine the equipment you are going to need.
11. Determine the actors and crew.
12. Determine what props, make-up costumes, etc., will be used.
13. Start casting for cast and crew for the movie.
• For crew you are going to need as many people as possible, but at least the following
• Camera Man
• Director of photography
• Sound recorder
• Costume and make-up person.
• someone who knows something about lighting Provide food for your crew and expense money and a copy of the film.
14. Edit the film, you do not need to use an expensive program at all. With the right skills, a free program that came with the computer can make stunning films. Do not think you need to use the most expensive program out there!

What You Need to Know about A Short Film:

Characters:

• Short Films tend to stick to 3-4 main characters, this is because being 'short', short films dont have time to create deep back story or history for characters, therefore character numbers must be kept low to allow the viewer to relate to the characters in the small amount of time.

Length Of time:

• The max length for a short film is 35minutes, the typical time is between 5-10 minutes, if tihey were any longer they wouldnt be classed as short.

Twist:

• Short films nearly always contain a twist, thie reason for twistiing the storyline is to make the short film more interesting as they are short, without one the short film would be uninteresting.

Budget:

• Short Films typically have a low budget. This is based on the fact that most Short Film directors are independent without the sufficient backing in terms of funding. They keep there budget down by sticking to one or two locations and only using 1-4 actors. having such a Short Film allows costs to be little to nothing in some departments as some actors will work for free if they really like the storyline.

Situation:

• Short Films usually take an everyday situation that we can all relate to and then flip it on its head in some way.This allows the viewer to relate to the Short Film, but at the same time intriguing the viewer
